I LOVE General Conference!!! One thing that I really appreciated that was different was knowing that you were all doing the same thing I was doing at the same time. It brought you all a little closer. Kind of like looking at the moon or something, but better because it was listening to the prophets.
I did see Marisa in the world report! It was so cool. As soon as I saw that they were reporting on the Mormon Battalion site I paid really close attention. She was wearing the same yellow dress that I have a picture of her in. And she was up there for a good amount of time too.
Oooh, I'm excited. I love how it doesn't matter where you are in life, all the talks will apply to you. Like this conference was all about missionary work and how I can be a better missionary. It was so refreshing and I am sooo grateful to have living prophets on the earth today. In fact that is how we invited someone to come. "We know that we have a prophet on the earth today who talks to God and then tells us what God wants us to hear. We have the incredible privilege to listen to this man tomorrow at one o'clock. Will you come with us?" They were ready and waiting with their four beautiful children at 12:45 the next morning. They are amazing. We just started teaching them. They are a member referral. Jesus y Maricela and their four children: Nancy :), Jesus, Jasmin, and Carlos. I love miracles!
We absolutely LOVED the Easter packages! Great story. We got home from a loooong Saturday and as we are walking up to the door our little neighbor comes out with your two packages and a little one from Holly with the COTM (chocolate of the month). We were shocked and they were both jealous. Then we opened them enough to see that they each got something and all is well. :) ;P I was sooooooo excited about the mixing bowl and syrup that the next day we had some of Dad's pancakes for lunch. Soooooooo good! I forgot how good they are. Elders Schwarze and Lehman stopped by and had some too. They couldn't stop complimenting them. It is all your recipe Dad. That and real syrup goes a long way. And I am going to use the capris today while mini-golfing with our elders.
Hna Ghan got an Easter package too a couple days earlier with a bunch of eggs in it. So Sunday morning we had an Easter egg hunt. It was quite entertaining! Especially because Hna Ghan decided to pull out my camera and record a bunch of it. I hope her "artistic style" doesn't give you all motion sickness. :)
Yesterday I had, not one, not two, but three vicious little Chihuahuas try to bite my ankles off! I've decided that I won't get a Chihuahua if I ever get a dog. Maybe a different kind of small dog, but right now it won't be a Chihuahua. :D
Okay, love you!
